The 2025 CFL season start with a bang, with an East Division showdown. The defending Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts visit the Montreal Alouettes on Friday, June 6. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM ET at Molson Stadium in Montreal. The game will be broadcast live across Canada on TSN and RDS.
This matchup is a rematch of last year's East Division Final, where the Argonauts barely beat the Alouettes 30–28, despite losing starting quarterback Chad Kelly to injury late in the game. Nick Arbuckle, who stepped in and led Toronto to a Grey Cup victory, is set to start under center for the Argos.
Montreal enters the season with Davis Alexander taking over as the starting quarterback, aiming to build on a strong 2024 campaign that saw the Alouettes finish first in the East Division with a 12–5–1 record.
