Back on home ice, the Jets have the momentum and the scoring power to take control. Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele, and Ehlers are clicking at the right time, and Winnipeg’s power play has been tough to stop.
St. Louis will not go quietly. They’ve been scoring in bunches and have enough speed and skill to turn mistakes into goals. The Blues know how to hang around in high-scoring games, and they’ve shown they can bounce back quickly after a loss. Binnington will have his hands full, though, and if Winnipeg starts strong, the Blues may be chasing the game early.
This one has the feel of a back-and-forth shootout. Both teams can fill the net, but Winnipeg has the edge in depth and has been more reliable defensively when it counts. In front of their home crowd, they should find a way to pull away.
